Corinne (Rinn) Self was part of the founding team of AGE Africa, and served on the initial board and as one of the first officers of the organization. She is currently a Program Officer at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, concentrating on policy and advocacy for agricultural development.
Prior to joining the foundation, Rinn worked at Mercy Corps, where she was responsible for media and communications outreach in support of the organization’s Africa programs. Rinn has also worked for Management Sciences for Health on USAID-funded public health projects in sub-Saharan Africa.
Rinn is a graduate of Oberlin College and received her MA from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. She lives in Seattle with her husband Peter, AGE’s first volunteer IT guy.
