Tri for Malawi

EVENT GOAL: $150,000 for 190 Scholarships

Join Us! Each year, fifty athletes, join the Ambassador from the Republic of Malawi to the United States to compete in the Events DC Nation’s Triathlon, and honor AGE Africa’s scholars who walk a triathlon-sized distance every week just to attend school.  The Tri for Malawi Team Challenge is AGE Africa’s largest fundraising event and the Tri for Malawi team members raise a total of $150,000 to support scholarships for AGE Africa’s students.  In 2015 the Tri for Malawi team will compete to raise funds for 190 young women.

About Events DC Nation’s Triathlon: The 10th Annual Events DC Nation’s Triathlon will take place Sunday, September 13, 2015. Both the Sprint distance and Olympic distance feature a course that winds through Washington, DC’s monument corridor in the shadow of the nation’s best known memorials and national treasures. The Course features a 1.5K (Olympic) or 750M (Sprint) swim in the Potomac River, a 40K (Olympic) or 26.5K (Sprint) bike course through DC, and a 10K (Olympic) or 5K (Sprint) run through Washington, DC’s historical landmarks with a spectacular finish!
