PAMODZI: GIVING TOGETHER, CHANGING LIVES“For great things do not just happen by impulse, but are a succession of small things linked together.” ~Vincent Van Gogh |
In the spirit of community and unity, we introduce Pamodzi
Pamodzi is an initiative aimed at empowering young girls by providing them with the basic necessities they need to pursue an education. The concept behind Pamodzi is simple yet powerful: together, we can change a girl’s life. As a donor, you have the power to make a significant difference.
Why Pamodzi?
There are 310 female AGE Africa scholars in Malawi whose families can’t afford to purchase essential items. These are not luxuries. They are basic necessities like shoes, uniforms, and sanitary pads. Without these, a girl can’t walk to school, she isn’t allowed in class, and she might even skip school every month. These small things play a big part in whether or not she gets an education. They may seem insignificant, but they are instrumental.
The Big Picture
The reality is, small monthly expenses for AGE Africa Scholars are a barrier to education. But it doesn’t have to be. By giving these girls the small things they need, we enable the big things to happen. We give them the chance to stay in school, to learn, to grow, and to change their lives for the better.
How Can You Help?
Every AGE Africa scholar has the drive and the interest to receive an education. But, she needs is a little help with the essentials. That’s where you come in. With a heart for change and a commitment of only $35/month, you can provide a girl with the small but essential items she needs to stay in school. These include:
- Shoes
- Socks
- Sanitary pads
- Backpacks
- Uniform shirts, skirts, sweaters
- Pens, pencils, markers
Together, We Can Make a Difference
With your help, these girls can focus on their education instead of worrying about how they’ll afford their next pair of shoes or uniform. Together, we can empower them to change their lives and their communities for the better. Together, we can make a difference. Together, Pamodzi, we can educate a girl for life!
