We are thrilled to share some wonderful news! Several talented AGE Africa scholars participated in a poetry contest hosted by Global Giving, and we are proud to announce that a poem by one of our CHATS members has been selected! AGE Africa is honored to be featured in Global Giving's poetry book, which celebrates resilience, love, and hope through voices from diverse communities worldwide. This is a testament to the incredible strength of the human spirit.
This powerful poem by Faith Kafotokoza captures the heart and determination of a young girl challenging the status quo. While her brother is sent to school, she dreams of becoming a surgeon, proving that girls can achieve just as much. Her ambition and desire to break free from traditional gender roles shine through as she envisions a future where she stands as an independent woman, inspiring others.
